Our FabricPeruvian Pima Cotton
Peruvian Pima Cotton is grown in the northern costal valleys of Peru where the weather is ideal for growing cotton. The perfect amount of rainfall, sunshine and the incredibly rich soil produce an unusually long fiber (measuring around 1-3/8” in length) that is one of the finest cotton fibers in the world. These extra-long fibers give the cotton exceptional durability, a silky feel and resistance to pilling. Another important characteristic of Peruvian Pima Cotton is that it contains fewer impurities than cotton grown in other parts of the world, making it ideal for babies with skin sensitivities and allergies. The Fabrics
All of the fabrics used to make the HuggyBunny line are custom made just for us out of 100% pure Peruvian Pima Cotton. They are designed with comfort in mind with durability being a side effect of the wonderful Pima Cotton fiber. Though they have the stretch and feel of some cotton synthetic blends they are all 100% natural cotton. Andrea and her father Antonio Chrem designed all the fabrics, drawing on a family history of cotton fabric manufacturing that goes back generations. They are made in small batches in Peru allowing superior quality control. The results are buttery soft yet strong fabrics of 100% natural fiber. You and your child will love this line! |
